A big weekend to report on from the NBCC camp.
Manager, Kieren, spent the weekend attempting to do a 400km weekend ride (200km each day).
A good effort was given, but only just over 135km was achieved on the Saturday, and about 95km on the Sunday. Kieren says this was a great effort, due to the flu he had during the week, and the fact he was still recovering. The weekend away was still most enjoyable, with a nice ride through the countryside of Australia's south west.
Kieren also says that mechanicals were a major problem for him on the weekend, as his back brake gave him almost 100km's of struggle on Sunday, as it wouldn't release.
On the other hand, success was achieved, after a long awaited first place at the Turek GP. Martin Sunderland powered on with a top form to win the race, under support from Toby Murray and Flynn Mullane.
The team hopes to emulate this result at San Juan de Colón later this week. It is likely they will, as the three star riders still hold top form.
Kieren has announced, the Toby Murray will continue training in the near future, setting in stone as a possible team captain.
